The Meaning of
Selah
From the Hebrew, a sacred pause.
An ancient word found throughout the Psalms, Selah is an invitation to pause, breathe, and reflect. It carries the meanings to rest, remain, contemplate, lift up, and exalt. In music, it signifies an interlude a moment when the words cease, allowing their meaning to settle deeply within the soul.
It is especially fitting that one of the proprietors of Château Selah is a musician, someone who understands that the most meaningful part of a song is sometimes found in the pause. This spirit embodies the very soul of the Château Selah a place where time slows, beauty invites stillness, hearts are lifted, and life’s most treasured moments are given space to become lasting memories.
Pause. Reflect. Be still. Lift your heart and let the moment remain.
